Expect the unexpected - Firth Greenhithe showhome
Mention concrete and the mind conjures up expanses of gray monolithic surfaces, solid but uninspiring. The Firth Masonry Villa Showhome in Te Wharau Drive, Greenhithe, Auckland will banish these perceptions forever. The new age of concrete, showcased in this home, focuses on flexible designs to deliver tailormade solutions.

Built to a contemporary design featuring many Firth construction components, the complete look includes hard landscaping and water features too numerous to mention.

Exterior walls were waterproofed with Resene X-200 Waterproofing Membrane tinted to Half Parchment and complemented by soffits in Resene Sonyx 101 semi-gloss acrylic.

A range of Resene innovations feature in the interior. Resene Lustacryl waterbased enamel Half Parchment was used on interior doors and bathrooms for its durability, block resistance and semi-gloss finish. Bedrooms were finished in Resene Zylone Sheen and Resene Zylone SpaceCote Half Parchment for a durable low sheen finish.

Resene Lumbersider satin acrylic tinted to a special burgundy was used to surprise the eyes with a slightly higher sheen in the hallway, with Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterbased enamel in the same colour applied on adjacent doors.

The desired natural look on timber was achieved with Resene Aquaclear waterbased polyurethane and on concrete floors with Uracryl 403 clear urethane gloss for maximum durability.

Metallics in the form of Resene Imperite IF 503 Aluminium were also introduced to add an extra sparkle in the bathroom and garage.

Whatever you might expect when you walk in the door of this show home, don't!
