Spectator spot - Nelson Bays Rugby Union clubrooms
Nelson Bays Rugby Union ClubroomsWhen the oldest rugby football club in the country, the Nelson Bays Rugby Union, moved into new premises in the former Rival Sports Club building, they did so with confidence. For only the second time in the club's history they have ownership of the premises, purchased on December 31, 2002 and extensively refurbished ready for the start of the winter season.

Fittingly coated in Resene X-200 Waterproofing Membrane in blue and white tones of Resene Aviator (navy blue) and white on the outside, the interior finish is equally durably decorated throughout using Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen waterborne enamel. In keeping with the blue and white Nelson theme, the interior features Resene Aviator, Resene Half Spanish White (muddy neutral) and is warmed with Resene Astra (light yellow).

Comprising a striking reception, private and open plan office space, a spacious boardroom and glorious views over Trafalgar Park from the second storey veranda, the building is a truly impressive home for a truly progressive union.
