Jason Kelly
Jason's works are very satirical and humorous with works focused on current and social events and takes on names and places and where the work resides, all hand brushed and one off. His work has a sculptural feel with carved surfboards from old tongue and groove doors to hand built car doors clad with recycled wood and hand painted with origina limagery and words. Jason uses a lot of Resene Lumbersider in his work and finds it easy to apply to bare wood, it performs well with his ageing processes and withstands U.V. when the art is hung in a home. He often glazes his work with Resene Multishield+ flat or satin and uses Resene metallics on selected work to impart a metal feel.
