With working time divided between New Zealand and Asia, Susanne Morning uses both cultures as inspiration for her artwork, characterised by a bright, broad palette often punctuated by loose disjunctive patterns, and her poetry. Combining a first degree in design, followed by graduate work in Education and Applied Linguistics and work teaching English, expression and creativity is not limited to a single form. Leftover paint from house renovating was the motivation to transfer Resene paint from walls to canvas. The palette employed is broad prompted by the breadth of range and an enjoyment of colour exploration and desire to experiment with new hues with each new work.
