Andrew's life is immersed in art, from a love of art at school, attending art school and teaching art at secondary school. Andrew enjoys seeing young people's creativity unfold and grow while also unleashing his own artistic talents in fresh works. His works are versatile and he challenges himself to come up with new ways to use Resene paints with the colour range and qualities seeming to always throw up new possibilities to explore.

Andrew finds the joy of making his own art is that he can bring into being that which his heart can feel and his imagination can see and through his hand, the paint, brush and surface, he can turn it into a reality.

An avid paint customer, Andrew is always on the look out for new paint products that have superior qualities for specific uses. "Despite so many other products on the market the iconic New Zealand Resene testpot stands the test of time not just because of the superior qualities of the paint but because that pot is just so appealing to use, hold or work from when you are painting." The bright and vibrant colours that hold the brilliance of the hue for a long time means that Andrew's artworks keep looking good.
