Kirsty Britton
Through four years of studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Auckland, Kirsty has developed paint techniques to create her works. Resene paints have been used throughout her study. The strength, plasticity and durable nature of the paint and its material substance in liquid and solid form constantly intrigues Kirsty as to what can be made with it.

A recent work, Transference was recognised in the Wallace Trust Art Awards. The pieces are all constructed entirely from Resene Lumbersider waterborne satin paint. Resene paint is a principal component of her art and is excessively layered to create objects. Many litres are used to build up form in those layers that enable the objects to exist beyond their support. In Transference, colours such as Resene Apple Blossom, Resene Cabaret, Resene Candy Floss and Resene Mandy have been used on top of a white base.
