Sheryl Ross, the inspiration behind Room 4 Kids, has always enjoyed
creating artistic pieces. After renovating their first home she decided
to turn her love of colour and design into a career and did a Diploma
in Interior Design. Upon completion Sheryl set up her own design business.
During this time 9 nieces and nephews have arrived and Sheryl has enjoyed
helping them create rooms that were unique and that they really enjoy
spending time in. 'Room 4 Kids' has grown from this and for Sheryl it
is a fun and rewarding way to spend her days. Sheryl takes inspiration
from the kids she works with using their favourite colours and themes
to transform their rooms into a unique, fun environment. She offers
entire room design including specifying furniture, fabrics and accessories,
plus hand painted murals, art and mirrors. A fan of Resene, she finds
them perfect for her business. They have a good consistency to
work with, a great colour range and offer the flexibility to match art
with decor colours.
Inspiration for her contemporary art comes from many sources including
the environment - the city, nature, the sea and places she has traveled
to. Sheryl loves working with colour and texture and many pieces have
3D elements. Artworks can be designed to match living environments.
