Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 10

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need: Chalk, Damp cloth, Paintbrushes, Resene Quick Dry Acrylic Primer Undercoat, Resene Magnetic Magic, Testpots of Resene Tory Blue and Resene Java, Wooden fruit fridge magnets

Top tip: Always stir Resene Magnetic Magic thoroughly before using as magnetic particles can settle.

Here's another idea: Use Resene Blackboard Paint and Resene Java to create a noughts and crosses chalk board.

Step 1
Step one
Prime the artist board with one coat of Resene Quick Dry Acrylic Primer Undercoat. Leave to dry for at least an hour.
Step 2
Step two
Paint the board with two coats of Resene Magnetic Magic, allowing three hours to dry between coats.
Step 3
Step three
Paint the board with two coats of Resene Tory Blue, allowing two hours to dry between coats.
Step 4
Step four
Using the chalk, draw four wavy lines to create a noughts and crosses grid.
Step 5
Step five
Paint every other square with two coats of Resene Java, allowing two hours to dry between coats.
Step 6
Step six
Once the paint is dry, wipe off any chalk marks with a damp cloth. Assemble the wooden fridge magnets and get playing!
