From the Resene News – issue 4/2006 Dynamite - Ryan Donaldson, artist Describing his work as a 'huge work in progress', his contemporary style with influences of graffiti and street art, has been influenced by extensive overseas travel deepening his appreciation for our culture and landscapes. The coastal lifestyle of the Gold Coast has provided a new niche, broadening the opportunities to further develop his work combining landscape scenes with explosive colours. Uniquely his canvases are internal house doors combined with his medium of Resene waterborne paints with favourite hues of Resene Picton Blue (clean blue), Resene Resolution Blue (bold blue), Resene Guardsman Red (bold red), Resene Turbo (energetic yellow), Resene Supernova (bright yellow) and Resene Illusion (sensuous pink). Waihi Beach to the snow drenched Queenstown and an exhibit at Fresh
Gallery before finally landing in the warm climes of Burleigh Heads.
