Wood Into Metal... The Alchemist
Dream
- Wellington Airport -
Resene
has successfully turned wood into metal in Wellington Airport's $42m terminal.
Tough and good looking is a rare combination. But the joinery, ceilings
and air handling units crafted from medium density fibre boards in the
main concourse spaces have been coated in Resene metallic finishes.
The Resene system comprises
Resene Automotive Ultrafil 645 two pack primer followed by Imperite IF
503 tinted to Gold and Imperite IF 502 clear satin for maximum cleanability.
"There is no other metallic paint finish on the market like it",
says spray Painting Contractor Andrew Slee. "The Imperite IF 503
metallic finishes have the texture and look of blasted steel which can
also be achieved in a range of other colours. They are beautiful".
