Give your project an edge with metallic paint

Sometimes you want to add something special to your property. If you're looking to add a bit of sparkle and shine, you may want to consider adding hints of metallic paint to your next building project.

Metallic paints can add a point of difference to a variety of surfaces, from feature walls, doors, furniture and joinery to larger tasks such as exterior concrete and steel.

If you're planning on using it indoors, you could start with adding it to small rooms. Due to metallic paint being light reflective, it can help open up smaller spaces. You could do this by painting a feature wall in a shimmery hue, or simply add metallic accents such as shiny candlesticks or chrome chairs to a room.

Other decorating ideas involving metallic paint include refinishing furniture in silver or gold tones, or adding hints of sheen to photo frames, pot plants and wooden furniture. It's a great way to update pieces without spending lots of money to replace them, or inject some modern design into a room.
