The hard work of redecorating their living area has paid off for Judith Watson and Andy Wotton of Plimmerton, Wellington, netting the couple $500 of Resene vouchers as this month's winners.

The subtle lilac tones in the existing carpet and new curtains inspired Judith's choice of Resene Salt Box for the feature wall behind the 70s fireplace that she and Andy had rebuilt during challenging alterations to their living room. With two walls painted in Resene Salt Box and two in Resene Sisal, the couple chose Resene Tapa to add visual oomph to the plastered fireplace, with its matai mantelpiece and raised tiled hearth.

Judith admits choosing colours for the room became a bit of an obsession at times."I found myself talking about paint and paint colours a lot," she laughs. Judith is delighted with the cosy feel the Resene Salt Box has added to the large room. "It's made a focal point of the fireplace and the room is very warm and inviting."
