Background to mural creation:
Asked to create something
nice for the community, Rosalie set to work, first preparing and
then transforming a bank wall into a look at old Waiuku and country
life. With a work history of being a freelance artist and a number
of mural credits to her name, the mural was the largest and most
difficult Rosalie has ever created. The original bumpy texture
of the wall was used as inspiration and to enhance the painting,
a clever way to turn a negative into a benefit.
