Background to mural creation:
Keen to brighten up the zoo environment, Auckland Zoo offered
Freemans Bay School the opportunity to paint a mural consisting
of 6 separate panels for display within the zoo. The panels will
be displayed for a year and then will be returned to the school
for display in the school grounds. The Auckland Zoo hopes this
will be the first mural in a series of annual murals, with a different
school creating the mural each year.
