Background to mural creation:
Thanks to Ksenia Alexandrova, aged 13, a Pacific Island sunset measuring 5.5m long x 2.4m high, now adorns the Mardon's gamesroom.

The Mardon's built a gamesroom onto their existing garage so the external concrete brick wall became an internal wall, needing some attention to make it become a feature wall as it was different to the remaining three walls created in the building of the extension. Ksenia, a Breens Intermediate student, loves art and offered to paint the mural. She recently won an art scholarship for Burnside High School and is able to use this mural as part of her portfolio. The mural theme originated from a photo taken on a recent Mardon holiday to Fiji, so the mural is a warm reminder of their holiday.
