| Anywhere but there Having purchased a very rundown house, the list of decorating jobs needing to be done was almost endless. A key part of the house, the kitchen was the first area on which they focused their attention. The kitchen had a huge brick chimney that took up most of the space. Job one was to knock the chimney out and cut through the interior brick wall. A completely new kitchen was installed recycling the Rimu and Kauri to make the breakfast bar. The new kitchen joinery was combined with Resene Sisal and a feature wall of Resene Tia Maria.
The fresh kitchen finish was soon joined by a lounge coated in Resene
Mulled Wine and Resene Sidecar, a brilliant blend of dark and light,
adding colour to the lounge without making it feel too enclosed. Simone's advice is to make sure you "shop around for big jobs - we had four quotes and managed to save $3000." Thanks to Simone and David Brooker of Wellington.
