The master bedroom of Gaylene's home had been in need of a serious
makeover for some time. However, Gaylene had to overcome a major
challenge before the work could begin - convincing her partner
that (a) they needed to get the paintbrushes out and (b) that
her choice of colour was the right one.
Gaylene selected the duvet cover first and then matched the paint
colour from there. She was looking for a relaxing colour that
would fit in with the colour scheme used in the rest of the house.
The final wall colour selected was Resene Grey Suit, a wonderfully
complex colour that they have found changes depending on the time
of day and the lighting. The wall colour is complemented by white
Resene Ceiling Paint on the ceiling and white Resene semi-gloss
on the doors and trims.

The project started off with a quick plan of simply brightening
the room, but as Gaylene was so pleased with the duvet and paint
colour that she progressed the room scheme even further making
new drapes, a feature of the bed and buying new carpet. While
the makeover was a little more intensive than planned, the room
is now finished and both Gaylene and her partner are really thrilled
with the way it has turned out.
Thanks to Gaylene Leadley of Christchurch .
