Just a fortnight
Just a fortnight after the Campbell family moved into their first home they got the decorating urge. Mission one was to change the drab hallway. The walls were finished in scrim, which couldn't easily be removed and couldn't be wallpapered over, so the only option left was to paint.

Wanting something bright, Nicky joked about using orange, little suspecting that this was actually the colour she was going to end up with!!

One trip to Resene later and Nicky had discovered and decided on Resene Smoke Tree, a bright yet warm orange. The next job was finding a colour to complement it. Scouring through The Range fandeck the complementary colours of Resene Red Devil for the skirting and Resene Equator for the doors were decided.

Eager to begin it was a quick dash down to Resene for the supplies then a weekend of solid labour for the hallway to be complete. Wooden giraffes that her parents brought home from Bali now adorn the space together with other knick knacks that have caught Nicky's eye. The hallway now has an African theme, a brilliant start to any guest's visit.
