Yellow for one
The Beetsma family recently converted the garage into two bedrooms and put in an internal staircase, which meant that two bedrooms would require some major painting before they would be inhabitable.

Jodi took over the makeover of the first room tackling it as a weekend makeover. Wanting a yellow room and liking the green fabric planned for the curtains but wanting to introduce a bit of zing to the yellow and green she compromised with two walls of Resene Butterfly Bush and two walls of Resene Energy Yellow. Both are brought together beautifully with the green curtains.

Not content to just paint the walls and add new curtains, Jodi also painted and decorated the desk, chair and rubbish bin, made the lampshade, coat rack, corkboard, cut down and recycled the book shelf and repainted the drawer handles. The toy holder is actually a wall trough for plants lined with the same fabric used to make the corkboard.

Dani loves her new room and Jodi is pleased with the results. The second room has just been stopped so Jodi has already got her next job lined up!
