Ceiling down
The Jones family lounge was cream with blue curtains, an old ripped floral lounge suite and a wood panel wall with a gas heater as a feature - in all, a room that needed some attention.

They started by pulling down the ceiling that was adorned with a swirly plastered design and replaced it with a new smooth ceiling. Next on the list of changes was the removal of the heater and wood panelling, followed by recovering of the couch banishing the annoying rips from sight.

With the basic structure in place, it was time to start painting. They painted three walls with Resene Coconut Cream and teamed this with a feature wall of Resene Lemon Grass. The TV unit was purpose-built to fit the room (and all the boy toys), a new heater was installed (much subtler than the previous one!) and now the Jones parents have a wonderful peaceful retreat from the children.
