Retirement haven
Retiring to Wanganui, the Wyley's looked around for a property and fell in love with the view from one of the houses they visited so bought it and promptly moved in. At the top of a hill it overlooks Virginia Lake, the mountains and sea. Built only 13 years ago, its only obvious flaw was a large fireplace in the living room blocking an unobstructed view of Mt Ruapehu. The Wyley's have since remodelled the whole house, adding a bedroom and ensuite upstairs, and enlarging areas downstairs.

One of many shifts and home improvements, experience has shown that Resene paint gives them the consistent finish they are after. Red is Mary's very favourite colour but this is the first time it has been used so extensively with paint and other furnishings.

Resene Linen - full, half and quarter strength variations mingle throughout the living areas, laundry, stairwell and entrance. The master bedroom is wallpapered in the same tone as Resene Whiskey, moving to half strength in the walkthrough robe into full strength in the bathroom.

Hues of Resene Champagne, Resene Tall Poppy, Resene Rivergum and Resene Parchment complete the indoor and outdoor palette. With the painting and remodelling done, it must be time to sit back and enjoy retirement.
