Within
three months of moving in and with colour selections firmly fixed
in their minds, the Karam's had painted every room except the
elusive master bedroom with Antoinette painting the walls and
David assisting with the ceiling work.
Three years later, inspiration finally came for the master bedroom.
Using three cushions bought from Spotlight a year ago as a starting
point, the criteria for the paint colour was that it needed to
be deep, warm and complement the colour of the cushions. Most
of all the room needed to be elegant and appeal equally to both
occupants, immediately ruling out frills or flowers.
Resene Stonewall was initially planned as the feature wall but
somehow ended up becoming the main wall colour - they love it!
The walls were finished with a square stop to the ceiling, so
to ensure a straight, sharp finish a soft tape was run along the
ceiling. This also prevented any dark paint accidentally getting
onto the white ceiling.
A light, airy and spacious room with two very big windows, the
Resene Stonewall on all the walls works just right and is not
at all overpowering.
