Brilliant discovery
The Morris family decided to paint their bathroom but lacked confidence selecting colours. Seeing Resene Sandcastle on a wall in a magazine, Jill quickly decided this was to be the new colour. The bathroom looked so good once finished that Resene Half Sandcastle found its way into the adjoining large family room.

Having caught the DIY bug, next was the second bathroom with walls divided by a dado rail. The room was quickly refurbished with Resene Double Sandcastle on the bottom half and Resene Quarter Sandcastle on the top half.

Jill has now turned her attention to the kitchen, her husband questioning her on the use on Resene Sandcastle for yet another room. Jill, however, has found a way to use one colour without it becoming monotonous - find a colour you like and use the different strengths for different rooms and areas to provide visual interest. With three rooms down and more to follow, Jill has certainly learnt quickly how to make the most of a tone on tone colour scheme.
