The Davie family 1910 villa was given an exterior and interior facelift.
The exterior weatherboards were painted in Resene Sisal with fascia
boards in Resene Triple Sisal for a tonal contrast. The addition of
Resene Cab Sav around the windowsills added interest complemented by
double hung window frames painted inside and out with Resene Half Blanc.

Inside Resene Double Parchment was used on all
the 3.3 metre high ceilings. This colour was chosen over lighter shades
to give the impression of a lower ceiling stud. Skirting boards and
architraves around windows were painted the same shade. The lounge and
back bedroom walls were finished in Resene Double Bison Hide while Resene
Half Spanish White was used in the front bedroom.

The lovely neutral palette adds interest to the villa without closing
the walls in.
