Their home was originally purchased in August 2005 when they had
a 2 year old and a month old baby and the room destined for the
makeover was designated as a sewing room when the home was built
in 1950.
The most recent owners had used it as a dressing room and it
was finished in a cool light blue paint with old carpet.
In need of a spare room, when the two children went down for
their afternoon sleep, Joanna started on the painting project.
She could only paint for 1-2 hours while they were asleep, so
it drew the project out for 6 weeks!
Joanna's husband had always been keen to have a terracotta themed
room, so Resene Valencia was selected for the walls. The room
was finished with Freedom Furniture Hip Hop furniture and linen
from Spotlight.
The old carpet was pulled up and a new floor laid, providing
a more practical surface out to the swimming pool and deck area
