Caren painted and decorated her youngest (7 years old) daughter's
bedroom to make it more 'snugly' for her. She was getting scared
at night and was unwilling to spend the whole night without coming
into her mother's room. So Caren and her daughter put their heads
together and came up with her new room colour scheme.
It worked! She loves the room and happily spends hours in there
now. Resene Classic Rose, Resene Royal Heath and Resene Hopbush
were selected and were used for various areas of the room from
wall to ceiling. Caren then masked off the stripes and painted
them for a striking effect. Clever accessorising of a string of
dragonfly lights on the bed canopy acts as a nightlight and 100
rectangular mirrors glued to a piece of reinforcing mesh make
up the mirror.
