As the Davidson family's house is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac
and they are both art teachers they wanted to make a bold statement
on the outside. They used Resene Baltic Sea as a base and then
Resene Tangerine to give their house a punchy finish.
On the inside they chose a natural colour Resene Double Blanc
for their open planned living area, hallway and garage complemented
with Resene Eighth Blanc on all the trims and ceilings. In the
kitchen they organised a glass splashback in Resene Maxwell Smart.
Knowing one day it would be a child's bedroom, the guest bedroom
was finished in Resene Wasabi so that they could easily add red
or pink accessories for a girl or cool blues and orange hues for
a boy. In the nursery they chose Resene Riptide as the sea green
is the perfect bright unisex colour. Baby Orlando arrived in September
and just loves it.
Their bedroom and ensuite is painted in Karen Walker Heathered
Grey as it matched beautifully to the already chosen feature wallpaper
from Resene. Sticking with the Karen Walker range, their bathroom
is in Karen Walker Robins Egg Blue and all of the doors throughout
the house are coated in Karen Walker Taupe Grey.
