The Langman family have just completed a renovation to the living
area of their 1950s stucco house, which was still the original
floor plan when they purchased it three years ago. It was set
up with small rooms and they felt so bunched in that they had
some walls removed to open up the lounge area to flow into the
kitchen and dining room.
After looking at numerous options they chose Resene paints. They
redecorated their bedroom a few years back and used Resene Karen
Walker Smalt Blue and it came up amazingly. Within the living
area they wanted a natural colour with some depth to lift the
Rimu and wooden blinds. After not finding a colour to suit, they
decided to use the Karen Walker Smalt Blue again but as a feature.
They did this and teamed this up with Resene Half Napa, which
they used on the surrounding walls through the lounge and kitchen
and over the bricks around the fireplace. Whenever guests visit
the colour choices are the talking point, with everyone commenting
on how great it looks and wanting to know what colours were used.
