Exterior roofs
Before you start cleaning or painting a roof, make sure you disconnect the downpipes first.

Let's face it, none of us want to paint the roof more often than we have to. That delicate balancing act poised by the portico can cause a nasty case of vertigo in the best of us. So, here we have it, some handy hints by Resene to make sure you don't have to paint the roof more often than you need to. The secret is to spend time carefully preparing the surface, and using Resene paint to get a long lasting quality finish.

Please exercise caution when preparing and painting roofs. The use of safety roof ladders is strongly recommended.

Select the roofing substrate you wish to paint:

• Zincalume, galvanised steel (usually "corrugated iron")
• COLORSTEEL®
• Cementitious roofing tiles
