“The colour Resene I Dare You is a vibrant rich yellow that excites change.  When I received this colour my immediate association was with the late 60s era, a time where people in the West dared to challenge societal conventions.  It was also a time of warmth, love and solidarity concepts which this colour and silk have the potential to communicate beautifully.

I have chosen to create a two piece design.  Through the two pieces I hope to contrast a romanticism for the 60s decade of free flowing exuberance and liberation with a structured, chic modernity that can adapted for a young daring woman.

For the halter top I wanted to explore the structural shape of the Indian temple archways and play with the positive and negative space of the outline of the body. 

For the bottom I wanted to echo the free flowing liberation of the era y creating a dramatically flared palazzo pant.”
