Skittles

Turn some old wooden bed legs into a colourful game of skittles with a little bit of help from Resene.

Resene Toys and Games with Mark Rayner - Project 09

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need: Clean cloth, Five (or more) wooden bed legs, Paintbrush, Resene Quick Dry, Resene testpots in Resene Elvis, Resene Kermit, Resene Havoc, Resene Hopbush and Resene Supernova, Sandpaper

To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene Submerge.

Other ideas: You can also make skittles from blocks of wood and stain with Resene Colorwood testpots.

Step 1

Lightly sand the wooden bed legs.
Step 2
Step two
Wipe off any sanding dust with a clean cloth.
Step 3
Step three
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to the bed legs and allow to dry for two hours.
Step 4
Step four
Apply two coats of Resene Hopbush to one of the bed legs, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 5
Step five
Apply two coats of Resene Havoc to one of the bed legs, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 6
Step six
Apply two coats of Resene Supernova to one of the bed legs, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 7
Step seven
Apply two coats of Resene Elvis to one of the bed legs, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 8
Step eight
Apply two coats of Resene Kermit to the remaining bed leg, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
