Cool cooler

Mark Rayner transforms a simple terracotta pot into a charming wine cooler.

You will need:

Wearing the latex glove, break off a small amount of Knead It epoxy and press between the fingertips until it’s well mixed.

Step 2 how to make a charming wine cooler

Step 2
Press the lump of kneaded epoxy into the drainage hole to seal and allow to cure.

Step 3 how to make a charming wine cooler

Step 3
Break off and knead more of the epoxy to press on to the side of the pot, building up a low-relief of a bunch of grapes, as shown. Allow to cure.

Seal the entire terracotta pot inside and out with one coat of Resene Terracotta Sealer and allow to dry.

Step 5
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to the grape design, as shown, and allow two hours to dry.

Step 6 how to make a charming wine cooler

Step 6
Paint the grapes with two coats of Resene Scarlet Gum and the leaves and stalk with two coats of Resene San Felix. Let each coat dry for two hours.

Step 7
Paint the outer sides and top rim of the pot with two coats of Resene Spritzer and allow two hours to dry.

Paint the outer sides and top rim of the pot with two coats of Resene Spritzer and allow two hours to dry.
