You will need:

Three terracotta pots and a terracotta pot saucer
Exterior PVA glue
Resene Terracotta Sealer
Resene testpots in the following colours: Resene Balloon, Resene Black, Resene Bright Red, Resene Bondi Blue, Resene Cioccolato, Resene Dark Buff, and Resene Galliano
Paintbrushes (including artists’ brushes)

Here's another idea: To create a shiny look, apply one coat of Resene Concrete Clear once the paints have dried.

Step one
Seal the terracotta pots and saucer with one coat of Resene Terracotta Sealer and allow to dry.

Step two
Glue a smaller pot to the base of the larger pot (to form the head and body), followed by the pot saucer and another smaller pot to form the hat. Allow glue to dry.

Step three
Paint the hat with two coats of Resene Galliano, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.

Step four
Paint the head with two coats of Resene Dark Buff, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.

Step five
Paint the body with two coats of Resene Balloon, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.

Step six
Paint face details with Resene Black and lips with Resene Cioccolato.

Step seven
Paint the knotted bandana and the zig-zag pattern on the body with Resene Bright Red.

Step eight
Paint a band around the base, as shown, using two coats of Resene Bondi Blue, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
