Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 112

Difficulty level: Challenging

You will need: Paintbrushes, Paper Mache mask (ourscame from ‘Spotlight’), Resene Art Action gloss glaze, Resene Art Action QuickDry, Resene testpots of Resene Fizz, Resene Kermit, Resene Mariner and Resene Rocket

Top tip: If you don’t have a paper mache mask, simply make your own from cardboard, newspaper and PVA glue.

Here's another idea: This monster mask was painted with Resene Kermit, Resene Orang-atan and Resene Smile.

Step 1
Step one
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to the mask and allow to dry for two hours.
Step 2
Step two
Apply two coats of Resene Fizz to the mask, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 3
Step three
Paint eyelashes and lips with Resene Rocket and allow two hours to dry. Apply a second coat (if necessary) and allow to dry.
Step 4
Step four
Paint teeth with Resene Kermit and allow two hours to dry.
Step 5
Step five
Paint spots all over the rest of the mask with Resene Mariner. Allow two hours to dry.
Step 6
Step six
To give the mask a shiny finish, apply one coat of Resene Art Action gloss glaze and allow to dry. Boy, that’s spooky!
