Take two small boxes and a selection of Resene testpots and you’ll soon have these fabulous funny feet.
Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 133
Difficulty level: Challenging
Make funny shoes
Another idea: Dotted pattern
Top tip: Place some scrunched up newspaper inside the funny feet to keep them firmly in place while you’re wearing them.
Here's another idea: These funny feet were painted with Resene Bright Red, Resene Orang-atan, Resene Turbo and Resene Yes Please.
Step one
Cut a foot hole in the top of each box, as shown – you might need a grown up to help with this bit.
Step two
Stick the top of each box down using a few pieces of sticky tape – again, you might need a grown up to help with this bit.
Step three
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to the top and sides of each box and allow to dry.
Step four
Paint the top and sides of each box with one coat of Resene Get Reddy. Once this is dry, apply a second coat and allow this to also dry.
Step five
Paint a border around each of the holes, as shown, using Resene Lochmara.
Step six
Paint on the laces using Resene Kermit.
Step seven
Paint lines to mark out the heels and the sole edges, as shown, using Resene Black. Now allow all the paint colours to dry.
Step eight
Paint the bottom of each heel and the sole edges with Resene Dizzy Lizzy and allow the paint to dry thoroughly. Now get walking!
