Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 33

Difficulty level: Easy

You will need: 30cm length of thin dowel, Glue stick, Gold glitter, Paintbrush, Piece of cardboard Printout of Resene Rising Star stencil, Resene Art Action Metallic in Resene Gold Dust, Resene Multishield+ gloss (now Resene Concrete Clear), Scissors, Strong sticky tape

Top tip: You can also use clear drying PVA glue to stick glitter on.

Here's another idea: Try a cool blue magic wand using Resene Time Warp and blue glitter.

Step 1
Step one
Stick the stencil printout to the piece of cardboard using the gluestick. Allow to dry.
Step 2
Step two
Carefully cut out the star shape using the scissors – you might need to get a grown up to help with this bit.
Step 3
Step three
Attach the dowel to the back of the cardboard star with strong sticky tape and paint the front of the star with Resene Gold Dust. Allow to dry.
Step 4
Step four
Paint a generous coat of Resene Multishield+ gloss (now Resene Concrete Clear) to the front of the star and sprinkle with gold glitter. Allow to dry before shaking off any excess glitter and using your new magic wand.
