Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 35

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need: Small concrete paver, Resene Concrete Primer, Resene Testpots in the following colours: Resene Alabaster, Resene Anakiwa, Resene Bright Red, Resene Bright Spark, Resene California, Resene Nero and Resene Splish Splash, Paintbrushes

Top tip: To protect your garden paver even more, apply one coat of Resene Multishield+ (now Resene Concrete Clear) once the other paints are dry.

Here's another idea: Create a funky handprint paver using a base of Resene Get Reddy, and handprints of Resene Paua, Resene Rubber Duck, Resene Dizzy Lizzy and Resene Splish Splash.

Step 1
Step one
Paint the concrete paver with one coat of Resene Concrete Primer and allow to dry.
Step 2

Paint the paver with two coats of Resene Anakiwa, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 3
Step three
Paint the sun rays with two coats of Resene California and the centre of the sun with two coats of Resene Bright Spark, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 4
Step four
Paint in the eyes with Resene Splish Splash, Resene Nero and Resene Alabaster, and the mouth with Resene Bright Red. Leave overnight to dry and then get stepping!
