Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 97

Difficulty level: Easy

You will need: Artists’ paintbrushes, Gold gift ribbon, Heavy cardboard, Pencil, Resene Art Action Quick Dry, Resene testpots in the following colours: Resene Elvis and Resene Tangerine, Scissors

Top tip: If you want a glittery effect simply paint the fish with one coat of Resene Art Action glaze (gloss) and sprinkle with gold glitter.

Step one
Draw a fish shape on a piece of card and cut out with scissors (you might need a grown up to help with this bit) then paint the fish with one coat of Resene Art Action Quick Dry and allow two hours to dry.

Step two
Paint the fish with two coats of Resene Tangerine, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.

Step three
Paint the eyes, mouth and a festive message with Resene Elvis and allow two hours to dry.

Step four
Make a hole in the mouth with the scissors (again, you might need to have a grown up help with this bit) and thread through a piece of gift ribbon, tying it into a bow. Groovy!
