Two murals – Junior fun under the sun, and Tuakana-teina (buddy helpers) – Maui travels the universe.

Background to mural creation:
The junior and middle playgrounds needed a revamp. Year 3-6 students complete research and surveyed juniors on what they would like added to their play area. The three interactive murals – paint splash border, crazy race cars and flower whiteboard – are for play based learning to make the area more fun and more interactive and encourage students to work on the panels during break times.

For the junior and middle playgrounds, year 7 and 8 students helped by junior student ideas created three new interactive murals – solar system. Number dinosaur path and an alphabet insect path.
