Mural Masterpieces - Hukanui School

Mural theme:
Waikato River and home for the taniwha.

Background to mural creation:
The wall has been painted and transformed to represent the Waikato River and to become a home for the taniwha on the nearby water tank. The ripples in the water represent the students’ personalities (no personality is the same), which were designed using newspaper. The ‘personalities’ were then transferred onto the wall with chalk then painted using four colours. The personalities were repeated until the wall was covered.
