Background to mural creation:
The seniors wanted to make the school something before they left and came up with the idea of a mural. This is also part of the Enviro Schools programme. The school motto is opportunity effort success and this mural depicts that along with the Picton/New Zealand theme. You can see Waikawa School on the left and the children achieving goals as they run the track to college.
