Mural theme:
Based on local fauna, sea creatures and bird life found in the bay. The client wanted the mural to be attractive and appealing to all age groups, pleasing to the eye, colourful and reflective of the Bay of Islands. It is one of the most photographed scenes; not a tourist walks by that doesn’t take a photo and children just love pointing out all the different creatures.

Background to mural creation:
The mural was designed for a blank side wall of the restaurant. With the newly developed park area with seating and walkway, the owner wanted to create a focal point that would draw the eye away from the building.
