Kakano and Kauri – making up one big community – we’re all important.

Background to mural creation:
As part of the school CARE values, the students from New Entrants through to Year 8 worked together in collaborative teams to design, create and paint murals inspired by New Zealand – the land, culture, identity etc. The murals are a contribution to the school community in beautifying the environment and giving the students the opportunity to say “I helped paint that!”
