Animals, reptiles and birds of New Zealand, relating to each other.
Background to mural creation:
The mural was designed to cover a container and wall at school to create an area for children to be reminded to care for animals and nature.
Each child was given a native bird or creature to depict in their own style. 56 were made in total. They also wrote poetry about what they had depicted.
The mural is used for numeracy and literacy projects. It is a living artwork.
