Mural theme:
Our whanau, our community. A sparkle of Mosston.

Background to mural creation:
Teachers nominated gifted and talented art students from age 6-11. Ten students were chosen to have 45 minutes a fortnight of extra art. It was decided to enter the Resene mural competition. The students were also given an extra day out of the classroom, and time was spent on many different art skills, including pattern, tints and tones.

The school classrooms and hubs are named after New Zealand native birds so these were incorporated into the designs as 3D cut-outs.
