Background to mural creation:
The school wanted to create an area for children to use their model cars. The ground below the mural will be developed into a racetrack with the mural installed above it, adding to the range of activities available to students at break times. The mural adds a bright colour spot that will draw students in. The concept for the mural came from the School Council who chose elements to include. Photos of local garages were taken and draft designs made. The final design was sketched onto the board and the Councillors painted it over a term.
