Following the hiring of a local pool in Oakura by a couple of friends with the aim of setting up a swim school, Linda McBreen and Frances Robinson brightened the area with their mural. The mural with its jungle theme was chosen and created to engender a friendly, exciting atmosphere for pre and primary school children.
