Revamp an outside workbench

You will need:

Decking nails
Hammer
Old wooden work bench
Paint stirrer
Paintbrushes

Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Green House
Resene Wood Primer
Turps for cleaning paintbrush

To get the look: Mark painted the watering can with Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Spritzer.

Other ideas: For a rich brown effect paint the bench with Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Brown Pod.

Step one
Clean the work bench thoroughly and fix any loose pieces of wood with decking nails.

Step two
Carefully stir the Resene Wood Primer.

Step three
Turn the bench upside down and apply one coat of Resene Wood Primer to the underside.

Step four
Turn the bench the right way up and apply one coat of Resene Wood Primer to the top, sides and legs and then allow to dry. Clean brush in turps.

Step five
Carefully stir the Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Green House.

Step six
Turn the bench upside down and apply one coat of Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Green House to the underside.

Step seven
Turn the bench the right way up and apply one coat of Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Green House to the top, sides and legs. Allow two hours to dry.
