With comfort and character
The whole house was painted in a cream with the use of heavy dark feature walls in both the master bedroom and lounge. They went through the process of selecting colours along with choosing Resene Alabaster for all doors, cupboards, ceilings and skirting throughout the entire house. They chose neutral tones for the master bedroom, lounge, en-suite, main bathroom, hallway and kitchen using varying degrees of Resene Friar Grey and Resene Stonehenge to complement the lighting in each room and hallway. With their eldest daughter’s room they created a feature wall with striped white and Resene Princess pink that contrasts against Resene Sherbert. They then hand-painted flowers on the play cupboards and added additional elements to accentuate the colours of the walls. The end result looks amazing and really shows how you can transform an entire house with the right use of colour. The nursery was painted in soft Resene Dreamer and is now home to the newest addition to the family. The entire process with the assistance of a painter took four weeks and now they can sit back and enjoy the results for years.

The news that they were expecting their second child kick-started a desire to rearrange all of their rooms and make a plan for how they could design each room for comfort and character.
