Uplifting in orange

When Rebecca found out her mother had cancer, she decided that they needed a little colour in their world and that it was time to take some of the colour from her cushions on to the walls. Rebecca has always loved orange so she went to Resene looking for the perfect colour. After trying a few samples she then discovered Resene Christine - an obvious choice as this was her mother's name.

Unfortunately her mum passed away so she never saw the ‘Christine’ walls and it took Rebecca many months before she could do the painting. It has added so much warmth to their home and works well with the Resene Half Ash on the other walls.

Initially they had planned on perhaps one or two walls but it seemed more natural to let the colour flow around from the lounge to entrance and dining room so it ended up being four walls! Rebecca says "Thank goodness my husband was supportive of my colour choice!"
